My passion lies in true connectivity. To me, a perfect day is spent creating, building and connecting with interesting people and dynamic colleagues, and it ends with a walk around my neighborhood with the loves of my life—my beautiful wife Jenna, my son Jett, and my dog Eric.

I am a career connector, relationship-builder, and entrepreneur. The power of my liberal arts education has been palpable throughout my career. When I graduated, I didn’t have a clear idea of the job I wanted, but I knew the impact I wanted to have. My liberal arts education taught me how to learn, think differently, communicate effectively, and clearly articulate my thoughts and ideas. Given that foundation, I’ve been effective in many different roles. I have worked in higher education fundraising and career development, F500 and startup consulting, have held two sales and business development director roles at high-growth startups, and have been able to adapt and be successful every step of the way.

I have been blessed to meet and work with some of the most interesting and talented people in the world; from friends and family, to executives of Fortune 500’s and incredibly talented college students who will be the future game-changers of the world. In every role I have held, I have found that success equals the people I meet plus what we create together.

The renowned Japanese writer (and my favorite author), Haruki Murakami said, “Life is not like water. Things in life don’t necessarily flow over the shortest possible route.” It is an important lesson at any stage of life, but especially when we are young. My path to Notre Dame certainly didn’t take the shortest possible route. I studied psychology as an undergraduate at Holy Cross College, after which I went on to the University of Dayton, where I earned a master’s degree in theology, and even began a doctoral degree in the same field. However, after finishing my doctoral coursework, I realized that studying theology might not be the professional path for me.

Now, I work here at Notre Dame in the College of Arts and Letters. I support two growing programs: the Beyond the Dome Career Development Program and the Sheedy Family Program in Economy, Enterprise, and Society. My role, perhaps surprisingly to many that knew me in the past, centers on financial administration, data analysis and reporting, and supporting undergraduate student programming. I have learned in this role that I love numbers, spreadsheets, and solving problems with quantitative data. It took me close to a decade after finishing college to discover these passions, but without that journey, I wouldn’t have ended up where I am today.

I live in South Bend with my wife, Kassie, and my two children, Isla and Oliver. In my free time, I love to read, cook, rewatch episodes of Seinfeld, and spend time with my family.

Amidst the breathtaking beauty of Mother Nature, I find my sanctuary, accompanied by my faithful companion, Moose. Here, I discovered my profound love and fulfillment of creativity and forging deeper connections with others. In my previous life chapter, I embraced a career as a professional country music singer and songwriter. Music has always ignited my passion, providing solace and inspiration in the art of storytelling and emotional expression.

With an unwavering dedication, I strive to create a positive impact on the lives of others, while cherishing the marvels of nature, the transformative power of music, and the significance of genuine connections. Along this journey, I am blessed to share my life and adventures with my incredible husband, Zac, whose unwavering support and encouragement uplift me at every step.
